she was walkin back home from the MRT station. things felt like normal. she thought of what she had to do today. as she walked down the slope before turning left into the road her house was at, a man (let's be specific here - a MAN, aged about 30) was jogging up the slope. he gave her a smile. being polite she juz acknowledge the smile with her usual dao mthd of tilting her cheek upwards.

minutes later... (p/s: the whole conver was in chinese. msian accented chinese)

man: hi! any idea if i keep jogging down from here, where would i end up?
gal: (what a dumb catch line lahz!!!) oh erm... u wld... errrr... (go to hell lahz!) end up at errr... KEW area? yeah...
man: kew area? is that still in bedok?
gal: errrr... yah... (are u dumb?!?!?) this whole area is bedok and it happens to be a very big area. yeah...
man: oh ok i see. u see this is my first time jogging here and im not reali sure where i am. u see i live somewhere else. quite far off from here and so im new here.
gal: (right... a man of yr age dunno where u are? i havent seen a dumber man den! wld u just get lost???) oh okiez. (juz keep e replies short)
man: u juz came back fr sch?
gal: yah (like DUH?!?!? im in school uni??? yeah... nice try...)
man: oh okiez. school ends so late for you? by now schools will be close. where got school open until so late one?
gal: (asshole! u obviously havent studied here!!!!) im in a JC so yah. school ends late and yes our schools open till very late.
man: oh! which school are u in?
gal: VJC
man: huh?
gal: Victoria
man: *stares blankly*
gal: Victoria Junior College (u dumb-bell!!!!)
man: *acts smart* oh okiez. i think ive jogged past there before.
gal: oh okiez. good for you then.
man: so do u mind making friends?
gal: (F**K OFF) erm. anything. ~in chinese it went - sui bian la~
man: so wad is yr name?
gal: shu lin (it was in chinese again...)
man: *extends hand* my name is ~right. i cannot rmbr the name. to hell with it!~
gal: *shakes with the rolling eye look* hi
man: *hesitates while the gal was dying to walk away instantly* so do u have a number?
gal: (duh! i juz dowan to gif u???) *confidently* ive got no handphone. and yah. my home... its not convenient. yes.
man: oh okiez. so den we'll juz stick to our meetings?

man: how about tomolo at the same place around this time?
gal: (starts to panic) *stammers* erm... see how... erm... ive got... yah... school... yah... school tomolo so yah... im not sure whether i can... err.... yah... most prob i cant make it. yah...
man: oh okiez. so ill see u here tomolo arnd the same time if ure free ok?
gal: errr... see how... ~kan la - in chinese~
man: alright. see you then. *jogs down the road*

okiez. the gal was me. im so screwed. i had no balls to tell him to fuck off. but yah...
