:: SOV 2005 ::

oh my gosh! SOV 2005 last night was indeed a success. it was wonderful. what no better way to end my official singing life in VJChoir but with a zai performance. hmmmm... i reali wanna thank all the pple who came down to support us. we noe it was abit pricey and all... but i hope u guys enjoyed it as much as we strongly enjoyed ourselves singing in the esplanade. wow... when we first reached the esplanade for our rehearsal at one... i tell you... the acoustics of the hall was fantastic. amazingly good. cuz there was nobody in the hall, there were echoes coming from everywhere. whenever we ended a song, the last chord will ring thru the entire hall. damn nice. we all wanted time to stand still and have that beautiful moment forever. and the silence in the esplanade... i tell you... it reali explains the phrase - silence is deafening. it reali is... its like the silence can hurt your ears so much and gif u so much pressure. i guess u hafta feel it to noe wad it means yeah?

after our rehearsal we all went to make up, bathe and eat... well... it was fun... exchanging notes and flowers amongst ourselves... i love all my VJChoir members... juniors... my batch... think we've done a great job in bonding and being frens... we all rock manz! well, i do hope that this goes on even though we wont have that many choir pracs together anymore. yupz...

then finally it was time to be ready backstage... we were all so nervous. we wanted to show everyone that we're deserving of our awards... our first official public performance since the olympics and SYF awards.... we had a name to live up to... and we did it... we not only lived up to our name, we showed the world what an amazing damn shit good choir we are... oh gosh... im very happy u noe??? argh... im so happy and proud!

on stage... finally... i was reali scared initially... palms getting cold and sweaty... so i just kept practising deep breathing... thank god i cooled down before i could sing leonardo... haha! leonardo was cool... our clash chords were pretty alright... it was fun... cuz i could literally imagine the machine during the flight part of the song... heh! cool bi manz...

then came lux and i thank u god... personally i dun reali like i thank u god as a song... but i think it sounded alright last nite.... lux was nice... yupz...

female chorus... rahoon... haha! well... the only one thing i can say is that... gals are great actresses on stage... in the end... pple commented that female chorus was nice... haha! well done jia yun, sops, altos and of cuz my fellow mezzos!!! haha!

after that was quartet already... for the three flower songs... lily was haha... a semitone flat... but the last chord ringing thru the hall was funky manz... haha! rose was... gosh... beautiful... it was hair-raising... maybe cuz its the hall... but still... i enjoyed singing it so much... so so much...

then the last flower song was the yr one chorus... haha! yr ones... well done! marcus... nice conducting there... mathias nice piano and shi hui, nice violin! :) i like the song so much... haha!

hmmm... after that is cloudburst in block position... woah! cloudburst was nice... haha! instruments pple... u have done us proud... cloudburst wont be what it is without u guys manz... this song chorale came to join us... at the end of the song... we received a nice applause... haha! what a fantastic way to end first half manz... haha! Eric Whitacre should have been here to hear us... haha!

second half was nice... hebrew songs and chinese songs all damn cool... haha! these songs got nothing much to say... cuz they're all very nice to sing and fun songs... think nelson's very happy with mu ge... cuz he said good after we sang... haha! yupz... chorale came in between for their indonesian segment i think. yupz... heard they were very good... yeah... they are chorale mahz... and we're proud of them! yupz....

encore pieces... pamugun and noman... oh yeah... wad more emotional can we all get? haha! great way to end the entire concert... we walked off stage proud of ourselves. backstage we did a VJ cheer of cuz... haha! although it was just the small group of us, we rock manz! reali... im so proud!

ended at bout 10? 10 plus? so we packed our things... and i went out to meet yan baby... and went to eat cartel... yum yum! haha! reali wanna thank you dear for coming to support me... i noe u rushed down from camp... hungry and nvr eat and all... yeah... thank u yeah? HUGZ!

okok... think this moment of SOV 2005 will alwiz be in our hearts VJChoir... the experience is unexplainable.. the feeling cannot be put in words... but we all noe that we will be one... we are the VJChoir... the top choir of Singapore... yes... we are. no man is an island...

P/s: just curious... how many VjChoir members are in school today ah??? ;)
